Incognito - a rather fitting name
Ok, so we finally had lunch at the much anticipated Incognito.
Water and wine poured, food passed and served, we began pacing our selves for this seafood extravaganza.
If you'd like to know more about what we ate, and how good it was, please go to www.alohafromsicily.blogspot.com and read Jacque's commentary...it's great.
The purpose of my discourse here today is to talk about irony... :)
Yes, that's right, irony. Isn't it ironic that we ate at a restaurant named Incognito? You know, to appear with a concealed identity, which is what an image conscious person would have wished for had they been seated at our table during lunch.
Oh, we had fun, we had great fun...we laughed pretty hard, and pretty loud. But then again, look at the characters that we had entertaining us...
There's pinocchio with his sparkling wine cap nose.
Then, the uh, well...I'm not sure, but the nose transformed into either another eye, or an appendage of some sort.
This one pretty much speaks for itself...I'm not sure if there wasn't enough food, or if this particular dish just tasted good.
And this, well, this was great on several levels. While waiting to be seated for lunch we noticed several pregnant looking women (one can never be too certain) coming out of the restaurant. Naturally, we joked about the water, food, what have you. Well, much to our surprise, we learned that the condition was equally contagious for men, as is shown here. Of course, our plate licker just had to pick up a dessert at that very moment and drop the whipped topping...well...to an unmentionable destination. By now our very stuffed sides were splitting and it was nearly time to go.
Stay tuned for more adventures of Sicilian dining American style.
