The things you see...

My garden is pretty well done for the year, however I do still have a lemon tree, peach tree, and rosemary bush that need to be watered. So I went out to water them a few days ago and when I got to the lemon tree I thought I saw something move...sure enough, there was a praying mantis. It was about 3.5"-4" long and happily stood still for me to go get my camera and take a few pictures...Earlie this summer I saw a walking stick! It was on the side of Maryellen's car...which I thought was a little weird, but hey. I really kind of like the picture. Her car is black and as a result of the beautiful sunny day you can see the reflection of the insect, road, sidewalk, and wall. This one was really big measuring easily 8.5"-9" long. I didn't think it would be nice to simply drive away with it on the car, so I picked up a little twig and coaxed it into climbing on...and then I put it on a nearby tree.
